The leitmotif of the ninth edition of the Patchlab Festival is CONNECTED and it will take place from 23rd to 25th October.

Today we are connected mainly via the Internet, but we also find ourselves all sharing a new situation with restrictions caused by a pandemic, compelling us to think about the future of common public spaces, cultural events and everyday life with and after the virus. The Internet and new technologies have become our primary channels of communication and many of us find ourselves never having used digital technologies on such a large scale before. The world is undergoing an accelerated digital revolution.

In these new conditions, digital technologies allow us to be connected, close and accessible at all times. It is not certain whether it will be possible to organize and meet at the festival in the usual formula in the fall. So we have planned out the festival with mainly digital events, accessible for a wider public in an experimental format using new technologies. We will present art projects online and in AR (augmented reality), in the virtual cinema we will show experimental computer animations, there will be a possibility to take part in workshops remotely and also to play a dystopian multi-person video game allowing the exploration of a post-apocalyptic New York. There will also be AV NIGHT, during which we will see unique audiovisual projects in 360° format.
