The visual identity and trailer of the 13th edition of the Patchlab Festival are designed by Jakub Wróblewski – an interdisciplinary artist from Warsaw, founder and creator of the XR Inexsistens collective, author of the key visual for Patchlab in 2022 and guest of the festival events of last year’s edition. This year, Jakub returns as a creator. Here is his interpretation of the main theme of the edition ERROЯ?

“Key visual ERROЯ? touches on the topic of error, mistake, inaccuracy and turbulence, especially important in the current aspects of visual culture. Awakening young algorithms, machine learning models and databases are timidly taking their first steps in prompted, unlimited aesthetics and styles. Awakening, (un)limited possibilities are often inept, imperfect, becoming versions of replicated prototypes. The reference to organic or synthetic 3D printing, morphing, machine image processing and intimidating and elegant high-tech were the main assumptions of the graphic concept I created for the Patchlab festival this year.”
