The Touchy Toy collective, established in 2021, was formed by Gabriele Petrillo, Andrea Lupo, and Matteo Camerini, who share an academic background in Electronic Music Composition from the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome. In early 2023, the collective expanded with the addition of a fourth member, Christian D’Amico.
Their work essence manifests through technological and aesthetic explorations, resulting in a diverse range of pieces, from sound installations to audiovisual performances and musical compositions.
The collective’s aesthetic draws inspiration from a utopian vision of the digital and technological world, enriched with references to contemporary pop culture and semantic short-circuits.
Their artistic output has been recognized at renowned contemporary art festivals such as Ladispolaneamente and within the framework of Colloquio di Informatica Musicale (CIM). Currently, the members are intensely focused on studio production, hoping to complete their debut album.
