Ursula Winterauer (aka Gischt) is a Vienna-based composer, electronic music producer, and curator. Her eclectic soundscapes move between industrial, techno, and ambient, articulated through bass guitar, synthesizers, and dense electromagnetic textures. She is the bassist of the doom-metal band Eaeres and one half of The Answer is No with Maja Osojnik. Winterauer works as a sound designer and film composer and writes music for contemporary dance. She co-founded and directs the label Ventil Records, co-organizes and manages the Unsafe+Sounds Festival, and curates New Salt — Festival for sonic exploration & digital art.
