An interdisciplinary artist exploring human–machine relations and designing integrated, universal communication systems. Through sculptures, installations, and performances, he examines tensions between perception and reality and the principles of abstract aesthetics; he also creates experimental soundscapes and investigates the relationship between semiotics and sound. His work has been shown at the Antarctic Pavilion of the 57th Venice Biennale, the National Art Center Tokyo, HeK Basel, Times Art Museum in Beijing, ZKM Karlsruhe, Sónar+D (Barcelona, Istanbul), FILE (São Paulo), and the KOBE Biennale. He is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival, an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica 2025, the Premio Celeste, the Edigma Semibreve Award, and a Webby Award. Founder of KASUGA, a Berlin-based interdisciplinary studio and record label.
