How do you tell the story of 15 years of a festival that has evolved alongside the rapid transformation of digital art, new media, and technology? We invite you to a conversation about how an archive can become a living, polyphonic account of fifteen editions of Patchlab, while also tracing the broader shifts that have shaped digital culture.

Meet the Book: From Archive to Book is a conversation with the editor and creators of the festival’s anniversary publication. THE BOOK. Patchlab Digital Art Festival 2012–2026 brings the festival archive into dialogue with a wider history of technological, social, and cultural change, showing how not only tools, but also the ways we think about images, technology, and our relationship with the digital world have evolved over the years. The publication features interviews, manifestos, and essays by artists, curators, and experts including Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Paul Tresset, Tale of Tales, Ryoichi Kurokawa, Irini Papadimitriou, and Piotr Krajewski. With its augmented reality elements, the book also extends beyond the traditional printed format.

The conversation will feature the book’s conceptual editor Marcin Maciejewski, Dr hab. Anna Olszewska from the Faculty of Humanities at AGH University, and Patchlab Festival founders and directors Elwira Wojtunik-Láng and Popesz Csaba Láng.
