Post-disciplinary duo of Hannah Cobb & Declan Colquitt based in Manchester, UK. Their practice operates at the intersection of emergent technology, cultural criticism, and audiovisual experimentation. They focus on exploring how new technological forms interact with broader social, philosophical, and aesthetic shifts. The tools they leverage in their practice range from text-to-content and fine-tuned AI models, to 3D modelling and audio production.
Alongside their AV works, they maintain a critical writing practice rooted in media theory, political theory, philosophy, and platform studies. Recent texts have appeared in publications such as 032c, Flash Art, and Enter Bliss, with others forthcoming in Do Not Research and Territories of Play.
In 2025 they co-curated the Global Art Forum programme in Dubai. Y7 have contributed to conversations around AI and contemporary art through guest lecturing and talks at universities across the UK. They also run a Discord channel called Conclave, which grew out of the monthly reading groups they host in Manchester, aimed at fostering a cross-disciplinary network of artists, theorists and technologists.
