The workshop will be a fascinating journey into the world of fulldome – a technology that enables digital projection on a spherical screen, surrounding the viewer from all sides. The main area of application for this technology is digital planetariums, which have 360° dome-shaped screens, providing the viewer with immersive experiences—complete immersion in image and sound.

During the session, participants will learn more about the history of planetariums and projection technology, about the most advanced spherical domes, uncover the secrets of the artistic fulldome filmmaking process, and discover the challenges that come with producing such works.
The workshop will feature excerpts from fulldome films and animations by Natalia Oliwiak—one of the first fulldome filmmakers in Poland, whose works have been showcased at prestigious fulldome events, including SATfest in Montreal and Dome WestFest in Los Angeles.

We invite creative individuals and those interested in immersive art and fulldome spherical films in 360° domes to join the workshop.
